The Best Wedding Venues on The Gower Peninsula

As a wedding photographer living in Swansea, I have been lucky enough to photograph a lot of weddings here on the Gower peninsula. It is an incredible place to get married, and when choosing a venue you really are spoilt for choice. However, it can be difficult when presented with so many options to know where to start, so I thought I would put together this blog to help you out.

So in no particular order, here are some of my favourite venues on Gower that I have worked at.

Fairyhill

Based in Reynoldston, Fairyhill has both a beautiful hotel and modern ceremony space for your wedding, but also boasts beautiful grounds, meaning you don’t have to travel on your day if you don’t want to. However, if you do want to venture off site, then you have the world famous Rhossili and Three Cliff’s Bay both a short drive away.

Perriswood

An incredible marquee venue, with one of the best views of any wedding venue I’ve ever seen. A short drive from Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich, you can easily pop to the beach for photos.

Perriswood has become a fast favourite of mine, and should definitely be on your shortlist.

Oxwich Bay Hotel

The Oxwich Bay Hotel is probably the closest wedding venue to the sea on the Gower peninsula, and with stunning views across Oxwich Bay, this is yet another amazing venue to choose from.

Parc Le Breos

Parc Le Breos is a gorgeous hotel venue in the most beautiful grounds, and just a short drive away from Three Cliffs Bay. I have captured a couple of weddings there now, and it is definitely one of my favourites.

Oldwalls

Oldwalls is owned and run by the same group as Fairyhill, and it is another great option in the heart of Gower.

Ocean View

Based on North Gower, Ocean View has an amazing location overlooking Llanmadoc. It’s close to both Cefn Bryn and Cwm Ivy, which are amazing options for off site photographs. It’s also worth noting I had some of the best food I’ve ever eaten at a wedding at this venue!

The King Arthur

I photographed a wedding at The King Arthur for the first time last year, and I am excited to be back there again this autumn. Not only are the grounds and venue beautiful, it has lovely golden light in the evening, and is in a great location for heading to the beach for photos.

If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding on Gower, then look no further. As a local, not only do I have experience at all these venues, I also know the best spots for photos, ensuring you get the images you want from your day.

If you are still deciding on your venue, then bookmark this blog post for later, and once your date is booked, get in touch and let’s talk about your plans.
