Walking the Wales Coast Path - Pembrokeshire - Stackpole quay to Broad Haven South Circular

Back in 2023 when I was walking the Pembrokeshire coastal path, life got busy and I didn’t have time to write up a few of my walks. This is one such walk. Despite walking it nearly 2 years ago now, I thought it was still worth sharing the photos, and the details that I can still remember.

This walk is actually one I have done multiple times as it is a firm favourite of mine, and at just 5 miles, it means it is on the easier side.

You can do this walk either way round, but I like to park at Stackpole quay, in the national trust car park. There you will see a handy map detailing the walk for you. You follow the coastal path over to Barafundle, and once there proceed to the other end of the beach. Climb up through the trees and you come out onto a lovely wide headland, which you can then follow all the way to Broad Haven South. From there you can opt to extend the walk and walk around the lily ponds, or you can do a shorter section and head to eight arch bridge, from where you will find a track that brings you into the back of the Stackpole car park.

At Stackpole Quay car park there are toilets and a national trust cafe, making it the ideal place to start and finish the walk!
