Aberporth to Llangrannog on the Wales Coast Path- Ceredigion

This section of the Ceredigion coast path is technically the second leg after my Cardigan to Aberporth walk, however in the timeline it is very jumbled up as I did this walk in 3 sections over the course of 2024!

The first section was Penbryn to Llangranog (and back), which I did with some friends on a weekend away to New Quay for my 40th birthday. This section was beautiful, and we saw lots of dolphins! There were also a few steep incline/decline combos, but nothing too bad. A couple of my friends even braved a dip in the hidden cove along the route.

The second section was Penbryn to Tresaith (and back) with my Husband and kids during the October half term. We did it as a day trip as a compromise for me wanting to get away and everyone else wanting to stay home! So a local adventure it was. It was a nice easy section in my opinion, but my children would disagree. They did not enjoy the process of going down hill just to go back up again! It didn’t help that it had been quite rainy so we had to be quite careful not to slip on the steeper bits.

I then filled in the final chunk with a very short walk from Aberporth to Tresaith ( and back). Had I known how short and easy this section was I might have tried to add it on to the walk I did with my family, but then again, given how much they complained it probably would not have worked!

I can’t speak to what it is like to do this section in one long go, or how to navigate it with public transport, but each walk was beautiful and I really enjoyed it.

I now have an unbroken line from Llantwit Major to Llangrannog.
